Liquid Air Project

 

Every year, 4 000 extremely premature babies are affected by bronchopulmonary dysplasia, a chronic respiratory condition. The anti-inflammatory medication currently used for this condition in departments of neonatology have significant side-effects, especially on the neurological level.

 

The PremUp Foundation, within the context of its work to protect the lungs of the premature, has set up a programme to identify inflammatory mechanisms resonsible for this pathology and to develop new forms of treatment for this disabling condition.

The Liquid Air Foundation supports this project within the framework of its sponsorship of scientific research into improving respiratory function.
